This adapter tool is used to separate the ball joint from the lower control arms without causing damage to the boot. Referenced as Mopar Adapter 6983, it has since been discontinued by Mopar.
This tool is is used in the process of removing the knuckle and lower control arms which are required for many other subsequent tasks.
Construction:
Black Oxide coated 4130 steel.
